1 | c | Butter or margarine |
1 3/4 | c | Sugar |
4 | Eggs | |
1 | ts | Vanilla |
3 | c | Flour |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1 1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | cn | (16 oz.) cherry pie filling |
Or any flavor |
Cream together margarine or butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients. Mix well into batter. Put 2/3 of batter in bottom of greased jelly roll pan. Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter over top of filling. Bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. When slightly cool, drizzle with powdered sugar icing.
