3/4	c	Butter
1/2	c	Granulated sugar
1/4	c	Packed brown sugar
1		Egg
1 3/4	c	Flour -- unsifted
1/2	ts	Baking powder
1/2	ts	Salt
1	ts	Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening, sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until blended. Form into 1 inch balls around Wilbur Bud or Kiss. Cover completely. Bake 12 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. (Do not overbake.) Frost and decorate as desired. Makes 3 1/2 to 4 dozen.
