1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | c | Onion, chopped |
1 | c | Carrots, chopped |
1 | c | Celery, chopped w/leaves |
1 | c | Potato, chopped |
3 | c | Water |
2 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Kitchen bouquet |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1/8 | ts | Basil |
1 | Can stewed tomatoes w/juice |
Brown beef and onion, drain. Place in large Dutch oven. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
