Title: Spaghetti with Orange-Scented Tomato Sauce

3 | tb | Olive oil |
3 | Garlic cloves, chopped | |
15 | Fresh basil leaves | |
2 | lb | Ripe tomatoes, diced |
Salt | ||
Juice of 1 orange | ||
2 | dr | Tabasco sauce |
1 | lb | Spaghetti |
Heat 2 tb olive oil with the garlic & half the basil leaves until the garlic colours. Add tomatoes & salt. Cook over high heat until the sauce thickens, 15 to 20 minutes.
Add orange juice, season with tabasco & continue to cook over high heat for about another 5 minutes. Check the seasonings. Toss with cooked spaghetti.
