1 | lb | Ground pork |
1/2 | lb | Ground lamb |
1/2 | lb | Ground veal |
2 | | Carrots (grated) |
1 | | Onion (chopped) |
1/4 | c | Saltine crackers (crushed) |
1/4 | c | Oatmeal |
1/4 | c | Bread crumbs (or less) |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Black pepper |
1/4 | ts | Cayenne pepper |
1/2 | c | Sour cream |
1 | | Egg |
1/2 | ts | Dried sage |
Cook carrot & onion in microwave on high for 3 or 4 min. to soften.
Combine all ingredients in large bowl and mix well. Add only enough bread
crumbs so that the loaf holds together well. Form into a loaf & place into
an Au gratin or shallow baking pan, large enough to hold it. Preheat the
oven to 350 deg. and cook loaf for 1 1/2 hrs. or until internal temp.
reaches 170 deg. Serve with salsa ketchup or your favorite sauce.
