Title: Barbecue Franks and Noodles

2 | ts | Vegetable oil |
1 | c | Onions; chopped |
8 | oz | Tomato sauce; salt free |
1/2 | c | Chili sauce |
1 | tb | Sugar, brown; firmly packed |
3 | tb | Lemon juice |
1/4 | ts | Paprika |
4 | oz | Noodles, whole wheat; medium |
12 | oz | Tofu frankfurgers; sliced crosswise into 1/4-inch slices |
Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add onions. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add small amounts of water if necessary to prevent sticking.
Add tomato sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and paprika. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low andsimmer, uncovered, 15 minutes.
While sauce is cooking, cook noodles according to package directions. Drain.
Preheat oven to 350 deg.
Lightly oil an 8-inch square baking pan or sparay with a nonstick cooking spray.
Spread cooked noodles in prepared pan. Spread frankfurter slices evenly over noodles. Spoon sauce venly over frankfurters.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes.
