Title: Hickory Bbq Sauce

1 | tb | Butter or margarine |
1 | sm | Onion, chopped |
2 | c | Ketchup |
1/2 | c | Vinegar (cider or flavored) |
1/4 | c | Firmly packed brown sugar |
2 | tb | Worcestershire sauce |
2 | ts | Chili powder |
1/2 | ts | Hot sauce |
Melt butter in a saucepac over low heat; add onion and cook until tender, stirring frequently. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well.
If using with baby back rib recipe and using a smoker, pour mixture into an 8 or 9 inch loaf pan and cover with foil, cutting several one inch slits. Put into smoker with ribs and smoke for three hours.
If not using a smoker, heat for 30 minutes on low heat and enjoy!
