1 | c | Green lentils |
5 | c | Water |
1 | | Onion, chopped |
2 | | Carrots, chopped |
1 | | Parsnip, chopped |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | | Sprig savory |
1 | tb | Plain flour |
3 | ts | Savory, finely chopped |
Wash the lentils, and put in a saucepan with water, onion, carrot, parsnip,
salt and the sprig of savory. Simmer until soft. Press through a sieve or
puree in a blender. Return to the saucpan. Smooth the flour with a little
water and add to the soup. Stir until boiling. Add the finely chopped
savory and serve hot.
