3/4 | lb | Boneless beef chuck roast |
1 | ts | Salad oil |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
ds | Black pepper | |
3/4 | c | Water |
2 | Carrots, paired and halved | |
1 | sm | Onion, peeled and quartered |
2 | md | Potatos, pared and quartered |
In heavy skillet, brown meat slowly in oil then season with salt and pepper. Add water and simmer covered for 1 hour. Add rest of veggies and simmer another hour, adding water if needed.
