1	c	Sifted powdered sugar
1	tb	Shortening
1/4	ts	Almond extract
2	ts	Milk; more if necessary
		Food coloring; if desired
		;liquid or paste

Shortening makes this frosting pipe smoothly and evenly.

Stir together powdered sugar, shortening and almond extract in a small mixing bowl until combined. Beat in the 2 to 4 teaspoons milk to make of piping consistency. Tint portions with food coloring, if desired.

Spoon frosting into a decorating bag fitted with desired tip. Use leaf tip to make holly leaves and small star tip for berries. Makes about 1/2 cup
