Title: Taste of Home Taco Bake

Yield: 6 Servings

1lbGround beef
1smOnion; chopped
3/4cWater
1pkTaco seasoning; (1-1/4 oz.)
1cnTomato sauce; (15-oz.)
8ozShell macaroni -cooked and drained
1cnChopped green chilies; (4-oz.)
2cCheddar cheese; shredded

In a skillet, brown ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain. Add the water, taco seasoning and tomato sauce; mix. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in macaroni, chilies and 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Pour into a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through. It filled a 2 quart casserole plus a small (1- serving) casserole. Very good dinner--served it with Mixed Vegetable Salad.
