Title: Italian Bread I ( Feb. 92 )

Yield: 1 Servings
6 | c | Flour; (up to 8) |
2 1/2 | c | Lukewarm water |
2 | Envelopes yeast | |
Cornflour | ||
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
1. Dissolve yeast in water in Kitchen Aid bowl. 2. Add 3 to 4 cups flour and stir at n. 2 , using paddle, for 10 minutes. 3. Switch to hook. 4. Add salt stirred with 1 T water and with machine running star adding rest of flour. 5. Stir 10 more minutes. 6. Turn onto working surface and knead 5 minutes. 7. Let rise covered 1 hour. 8. Knead 2 minutes. Let rise again 30 minutes. 9. Shape into rounds or loaves and coat bottom with corn flour. Sprinkle top with white flour. 10. Place in cookie sheet and let rise 30 minutes. 11 Cut slits on top of bread. 12. Pre heat oven 450 F. 13. Boil water. 14. Pour water in a pan in the bottom rack of oven. 15. Bake bread 35 minutes
Serving Ideas :
NOTES : My new recipe I let yeast mixture stand at least 6 hours at room
temperature before using it. ( yeast , water and 3 cups flour) I also add 1
