Title: Braised Onion Slices with Bourbon

2 | tb | Butter |
2 | tb | Olive oil |
4 | Bermuda onion; sliced 1-inch thick | |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Black pepper; freshly ground |
1/4 | c | Beef broth; canned or homemade |
1/4 | c | Bourbon |
Heat butter and oil. Add onions and sear on high for 2 minutes. Add salt, pepper and broth. Reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 minutes. Add bourbon and cook down for 3 minutes.
