Title: Herman Double-Chocolate Brownies

3/4 | c | Butter, room temperature |
1 | c | Granulated sugar |
1 | c | Packed brown sugar |
4 | x | Eggs |
1/2 | c | Unsweetened cocoa |
1 1/2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | c | Herman Sourdough Starter |
1 | tb | Vanilla |
3/4 | c | Semisweet chocolate pieces |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts |
In bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs one at a time,
beating well after each. Stir dry ingredients together. Combine starter and
vanilla; add alternately with dry ingredients to sugar mixture. Spread in
greased 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2" pan. Sprinkle chocolate and nuts on top.
