Title: Tvp Stroganoff

8 | oz | Pkg uncooked noodles |
1 | lg | Onion, diced |
3 | tb | Butter |
1 | tb | Minced garlic |
4 | oz | Can mushrooms, diced |
2 | tb | Parsley, dried |
1 | tb | Basil, dried |
1 | ts | Thyme, dried |
1 | pn | Ground black pepper |
12 | oz | Pkg Green Giant Harvest |

1 | c | Sour cream, divided |
3 | tb | Flour |
1 | Envelop Lipton Onion Soup | |
2 1/2 | c | Water |
Prepare noodles per directions to be done as rest is completed.
Open mushrooms and reserve the liquid. Chop mushrooms into small pieces. In a deep skillet on medium high heat melt the butter. Add diced onions and continue to saute stirring occasionally until onions are translucent about 5 minutes or so. Add the TVP and continue saute for about another 3 minutes stirring frequently. Add a 1/2 cup water and stir until absorbed by TVP. Stir in the minced garlic, dried herbs and the mushrooms. Stir in the mushroom liquid and 1/2 cup of the sour cream. Remove from heat and put in a separate bowl. Return cleaned skillet to heat. Stir in the flour and onion soup mix package. While stirring gradually add the water until fully mixed. Return the TVP mixture stir well and lower heat to medium low. Cover and cook about 10 minutes. Then stir in the rest of the sour cream. Stir well and heat through. Serve over cooked noodles or cooked rice. We like it with Basmatti rice.
