1 1/3 | ts | Pressed hoarhound |
1 1/4 | c | Boiling water |
1/3 | c | White corn sirup |
2 | c | Sugar |
1/8 | ts | Salt |
Pour water over hoarhound. Allow to stand 10 minutes. Strain. Combine sugar, salt, sirup, and water from hoarhound. Boil to soft crack stage (275 - 280 F). Pour in thin sheet onto well-buttered baking sheet. Mark into squares before candy hardens. The Household Searchlight
