1 | tb | Reduced calorie margarine; + |
1 | ts | Reduced calorie margarine |
2 | sm | Sweet apples;peeled,chopped |
1/2 | c | Onions; chopped |
1 | lb | Very lean ground beef; |
2 | ts | Curry powder; |
1/8 | ts | Garlic powder; |
Salt and pepper to taste; | ||
2 | Egg whites; | |
3/4 | oz | Wheat germ; |
3/4 | c | Tomato sauce; |
Preheat oven to 350. Cook onion and apple in margarine until onion is lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Combine with remaining ingredients EXCEPT 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce, shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a shallow baking pan. Top with remaining tomato sauce. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour.
Per serving: 24g protein, 18g fat, 16g carb., 405mg sodium, 70mg chol., 317 calories.
