Title: Wenatchee Applesauce Muffins

2 | c | Unsifted all purpose flour |
1/2 | c | Light brown sugar |
1 | tb | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Ground cinnamon |
1/4 | ts | Ground nutmeg |
1/4 | c | (1/2 stick) butter or margarine |
1 | c | Thick applesauce |
1/4 | c | Milk |
1 | lg | Egg |
1/2 | c | Dark seedless raisins. |

Wenatchee Applesauce Muffins
Heat oven to 425. Grease 12 muffin cups. In a bowl, combine dry ingredients and blend. Melt butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat; stir in applesauce and milk. Beat in egg.
Stir in applesauce mixture into dry ingredients and, when well blended, stir in raisins.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before removing muffins from tin.
