8 | Fresh Mushrooms (4 oz) | |
1/2 | bn | Fresh Broccoli- about 3/4 lb |
1/2 | tb | Margarine |
1 | tb | White Wine |
1/2 | ts | Italian Seasoning or Salt |
Substitute Seasoning; such as Mrs. Dash |
Clean mushrooms and cut into quarters. (Small mushrooms can be left whole.) Cut florets from broccoli stems and slice stems into rounds. Place mushrooms, broccoli florets and stem-rounds in 1 1/2 quart casserole; set aside.
Place margarine in a small custard cup and microwave on high 20 seconds, or until melted. Add wine and seasonings. Mix and pour margarine mixture over vegetables. Cover with lid or vented plastic wrap and microwave on high 5 to 6 minutes.
Makes 4 servings, each: 49 calories, 2 grams protein, 2 grams fat (28 percent of total calories), 6 grams carbohydrates, 3 grams dietary fiber, 0 cholesterol, 22 milligrams sodium.
