4 | oz | Cheddar cheese; sharp, shred |
1/3 | c | Ricotta cheese;part skim |
1 | tb | + 1 tsp Dry White Wine |
1/4 | ts | Lemon Herb Blend |
| | Garlic Powder to taste |
| | Onion Powder to taste |
| | Salt substitute to taste |
1/4 | c | Parsley;fresh chopped |
In blender or food processor, combine cheeses, LEMON HERB BLEND, wine,
garlic powder, onion powder, salt substitute and process until smooth. In
the center of a sheet of plastic wrap, sprinkle 2 tablespoons parsley, and
then spoon the cheese mixture over the parsley in a line. Now sprinkle
remaining 2 tablespoon of parsley over the cheese, and enclose the cheese
in wrap, forming a log about 6 inches long by 2 inches wide. transfer to
the freezer and let freeze for about 20 minutes; turn log over and freeze
until firm, 10 to 25 minutes longer. To Serve, remove plastic wrap and
surround with Melba rounds. Per Serving: 80 calories; 6 g fat; 101 mg
