Title: Meat Sauce for Polenta/pasta

1lgOnion; chopped
2clGarlic; minced
3tbOlive oil
2lbLean boneless chuck steak; cubed
  Salt
  Pepper
1lbSweet sausage
2tsOregano
2tsCrushed red pepper; optional
2lgCans tomato puree

In a lg. pot, saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft. Gradually add chuck steak and sausage and cook until well browned. Stir in tomatoes, add oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper. Bring to a boil and cover, lower heat and simmer until meat is tender. If sauce is too thick, add a little hot water. Serves 6 to 8.
