Title: Baked Mostaccioli with Sausage and Peppers

Yield: 6 Servings
1 | lb | Sweet or hot sausage - casings removed |
1 | Green pepper; thinly sliced | |
1 | md | Onion; sliced and separated into rings |
4 | c | Marinara sauce |
1 | c | Water |
1 | lb | Mostaccioli (cook 8 minutes, drain |
1 | lb | Mozzarella; shredded |
1/2 | c | Parmesan cheese |
In large skillet, brown sausage, pepper and onion over medium-high heat 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently. Add Marinara sauce and water. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Spread 1 cup sauce in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Top with half the Mostaccioli, half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Spread 2 cups of sauce then layer remaining pasta, sauce and mozzeralla. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until heated through. Serves 6-8.
