Title: Hay and Straw

1 | lb | Fettucine noodles |
2 | c | Ham; julienne-sliced |
1 | tb | Butter |
2 | c | To 3 cups peas |
1 1/2 | c | Parmesan cheese, 6-oz.; freshly grated |
1/3 | c | Heavy cream |

In boiling salted water, cook fettucine until just tender. Drain and keep warm. While noodles cook, saute ham in butter until slightly browned and heated through. Keep warm. Blanch peas until bright green and crisp tender, 2 to 3 mins. Drain.
In lg. serving bowl, toss hot noodles, peas, and ham. Add cheese and cream. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
