Title: Jeannie's Macaroni and Cheese

1 | Box of very small macaroni | |
Shells | ||
2 | cn | Cheddar cheese soup |
Enough added milk to make a | ||
Cheese sauce. I use 3 cans | ||
Of cheese sauce, to about | ||
2 cans of milk. | ||
Yellow food coloring, and I | ||
Just add this till it's the | ||
" Cheddar color I want." :) | ||
You may add " Tuna fish.... | ||
Or crumbled bacon...... | ||
Or cooked brocolli " to this | ||
Dish for a variation. ) :) | ||
A few strips of Cheddar | ||
Cheese | ||
Butter and salt to taste |
Cook Macaroni to the El Dente stage ( very firm to the bite, because it will cook a bit more later. ) Mix in the sauce,and add yellpw food coloring for that rich Cheddar, buttery look. Add salt and a bit of butter if you want and mix throughly. Then add strips of Cheddar Cheese on the top.
In my Westbend Slo-cooker I do this on medium, In my electric skillet I do this on 250~, and in my oven 350~. ( Just untill it heats through and the cheese melts on the top.)
