1 | tb | Vegetable oil |
2 | c | Water |
1 | c | White rice, basmati if available |
1/2 | ts | Cinnamon |
4 | oz | Almonds; slivered |
1/2 | c | Golden raisins |
Add oil to water, bring to boil. Add rice, cinamon, almonds, raisins. Bring back to a boil stirring. Cover pan, reduce heat to simmer. Simmer 20 minutes. Turn off heat, let stand, covered, 10 minutes before serving.
