Title: Soft Dough Pretzels

Yield: 2 Dozen
1 | pk | Dry yeast |
1/4 | c | Warm water |
4 1/2 | c | Flour |
1 1/4 | c | Water |
3 | tb | Baking soda |
Pretzel salt * |

Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water in small bowl. Set aside. In large bowl, conbine flour, water & yeast mixture. Mix well.
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface & knead 2 minutes. Pull off pieces of dough (golf ball size) & roll in shapes of logs.
Meanwhile, add 3 tb baking soda to a skillet of boiling water. Be careful; water will foam when you add the baking soda.
Gently place logs, 8 at a time, in boiling water & let them rise to the top. Remove with a slotted spoon to a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle with salt. Bake at 400d. for 20 minutes.
