Title: Chocolate Cake Pudding

1cAll-purpose flour
2tsBaking powder
1/8tsSalt
3/4cSugar
2tbCocoa
1/2cMilk
3tbButter or margarine, melted
1tsVanilla extract
1/2cSugar
1/2cFirmly packed brown sugar
1/4cCocoa
1 1/2cWater
  Sweetened whipped cream or
  Ice cream (optional)

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa in a greased 9-inch square pan, stirring well. Stir in milk, butter, and vanilla, spreading mixture evenly in pan.Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 cup cocoa, and sprinkle mixture evenly over batter. Pour water over top. Bake pudding at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with sweetened whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Yield: 6 servings.NOTE: Chocolate Cake Pudding bakes into two layers--one like a cake and one like a pudding. Spoon some of both into serving dishes, drizzling the pudding part over the cake part. Top with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired. Serve hot or cold.
