2 | c | Sugar |
1 | c | Water |
1 | | Cinnamon Stick |
4 | | Whole Clove |
1 | lb | Cranberries |
2 | ts | Orange Zest |
In 3qt pan combine sugar, water, cinnamon stick and cloves. Bring to boil
medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Discard cloves. Add cranberries. Increase heat to start a strong simmer.
Simmer about 10min. until berries pop. Remove from heat, remove cinnamon.
Stir in orange zest. Cool then cover. I usually double this and use 3 of
the 12oz bags of berries. The longer you cook the stiffer the sauce.
