1 1/2 | | Pounds ground beef, pork and Turkey |
1 | c | Milk |
1 | ts | Chopped fresh or 1/4 ts Dried sage leaves |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Dry mustard |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
3 | sl | Bread, torn into Small pieces* |
1 | | Egg |
1 | | Cl Garlic, finely chopped, or 1/8 ts Garlic powder |
1/2 | c | Ketchup, chili sauce or Barbecue sauce |
1 | sm | Onion, chopped (about 1/4 cup) |
1 | tb | Worcestershire sauce |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except ketchup. Shape mixture
into 6 small loaves. Place in rectangular pan, 13 X 9 X 2 inches. Spoon
ketchup over top of each loaf. Bake 145 minutes or until done. Remove from
pan. 6 SERVINGS; 375 CALORIES PER SERVING. To Microwave: Prepare as
directed. Place in rectangular microwavable dish, 11 X 7 X 1-1/2 inches.
Cover with waxed paper and microwave on high 14 to 17 minutes, rotating
dish 1/2 turn after 7 minutes. Let stand on flat, heatproof surface (not
wire rack) 5 minutes.*1/2 cup dry bread crumbs or 3/4 cup quick-cooking
oats can be substituted for the 3 slices bread.
