Yield: 6 Servings
1 | pk | (7 oz) herb-seasoned stuffing mix |
1/4 | c | Milk |

1 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
5 1/2 | lb | Ground turkey |

Crush 1/2 c of stuffing; reserve remaining stuffing. In medium bowl, combine crushed stuffing, milk, egg, salt and pepper. Add ground turkey and mix well. Press turkey mixture evenly in a 9-inch pie plate forming shell
In medium skillet, melt butter. Add onion, celery and apple and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until onion is softened, about 4 minutes. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
In medium bowl, combine remaining stuffing and broth mixture. Mix until moistened evenly. Spoon stuffing into turkey shell.
Bake until stuffing is browned and turkey shell is cooked through, about 40 minutes. Let stand 6 minutes. Drain off excess liquid and cut into wedges to serve.
Cook's Notes: Try reversing this one using stuffing for shell and turkey mixture for filling.
