1 | tb | Olive oil |
1 | sm | Onion(s) minced (1/2 cup) |
1 | | Garlic clove(s) minced (1 tsp) |
1 | | Jalape¤o chili seeded and minced |
2/3 | c | Molasses |
2/3 | c | White vinegar |
1/3 | c | Dijon mustard |
1 | tb | Soy sauce |
Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic,
and chili, and cook, stirring well, for 2-3 minutes, or until soft but not
brown. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Let the
sauce cool before serving. Goes particularly well with pork and duck.
