Title: Sweetened Biscuits

2 1/2 | c | Flour, all-purpose |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 1/2 | tb | Baking powder |
3 | tb | Sugar |
3/4 | c | Shortening |
2/3 | c | Milk |
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk, stirring until well blended. Turn dough out onto floured surface, and knead lighlty about 3 to 4 times.
Roll dough to 1/2" thickness, and cut into rounds with a 2-1/2" cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet; bake at 450 degrees for 15 mintues or until golden.
