Title: Basic Muffin Recipe

Yield: 1 Batch
1/4 | c | Butter |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
2 | c | Flour |
4 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | c | Milk |
Cream shortening and sugar well. Add egg and beat well. Sift and measure flour and sift 3 times with baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk. Bake in well greased muffin tins for 25 minutes at 425 degrees. Blueberries, dates, nuts or raisins may be add to the above recipe.

Note: Mommy decreased milk a little, and added a jar of baby food fruit.
