Title: Lithuanian Sauerkraut Supper

3 | Strips bacon, cut into small | |

1 | sm | Onion, diced |
1/2 | Head cabbage, chopped fine | |
2 | sm | Apples, diced |
3 | tb | Brown sugar |
1 1/2 | ts | Caraway seed |
1 | lg | Can sauerkraut |
1/2 | c | Water |
2 | lb | Any smoked sausage, cut up |
Into 2-inch pieces |
Fry bacon until crisp; add onion. Fry onion until golden brown. Chop fresh cabbage; add 1/2 cup water and simmer until cabbage is soft. Add diced apples, caraway seed and brown sugar. Now add the sauerkraut. Mix well; add the smoked sausage and cook all the ingredients for 1 hour or bake in the oven for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
