Title: Molded Sweet Cherry Salad

2 | c | Cherries, sweet; drained and juice reserved |
Water; boiling | ||
3 | oz | Gelatin, cherry-flavored |
8 | Olives, stuffed; chopped | |
1 | c | Almonds; toasted, shredded |
Lettuce, crisp | ||
Mayonnaise |
Measure separately the reserved cherry juice and enough boiling water to make 2 cups liquid, but do not combine. Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water; then add cherry juice. Chill until thick and syrupy. fold cherries, chopped olives, and almonds into the slightly thickened gelatin. Pour into 5 cup mold and chill until firm. Unmold on crisp lettuce and garnish with mayonnaise.
