1 | lb | Extra-lean ground turkey |
3/4 | lb | Ground beef sirloin |
2 | | Green onions, chopped |
3/4 | ts | Salt |
3/4 | ts | Ground cumin |
1/2 | ts | Dried marjoram or oregano |
1/4 | ts | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 | c | Fresh bread crumbs |
7 | oz | Jar sweet roasted red pepper |
1 | | Drained and chopped |
1 | | Egg white |
1/2 | c | Canned black beans, drained |
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat an 8x5x3 inch loaf baking pan with
no-stick corn oil cooking spray; set aside. In a large bowl, combine the
extra-lean ground turkey, ground sirloin, green onions, salt, cumin,
marjoram or oregano, black pepper, bread crumbs, red pepper, egg white and
black beans. Mix with your hands or a sturdy spatula to thoroughly combine
all ingredients. Pack into prepared pan and bake 45 minutes. Remove from
heat and allow to rest 5 minutes before slicing. Cut into 1 inch slices.
