Title: Basic White Sandwich Rolls

3/4 | c | Water |
1 | lg | Egg |
2 | tb | Dry milk |
2 1/4 | ts | Yeast |
1 1/2 | ts | Salt |
3 | tb | Sugar |
1 1/2 | tb | Butter |
3 | c | Bread flour |
1 | tb | Gluten |
1 | Egg for glaze before baking |
On dough selection. Mix ingredients in order listed by machine.
When beeps, remove from pan, form into a ball place on bread board and cover with cloth. Let sit 10 Min.
Divide large ball into half. Form two balls, divide those in half, form 4 balls, divide those balls in half - ending up with 8 small balls.
Lightly grease baking tray. Make 8 balls, place on baking tray, flatten with palm of hand to about 1/2 inch thick. (sometimes dough springs back together, don't give up just keep doing it)
With pastry brush, brush cold water over top of rolls, cover with cloth and let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375
Mix 1 egg with a Tbl of water. Brush tops and sides of rolls with mixture right before placing in oven.
Do not slash tops
