Categories: Beverages
Yield: 1 Cup
FOR EACH CUP: | ||
2 | oz | To 3 oz milk chocolate |
1 | ts | Butter |
1/4 | ts | Vanilla |
1 | c | Half-and-half or cream |
In a double boiler, combine the chocolate, butter and vanilla. Stir together until completely melted and smooth. Add the half-and-half slowly, incorporating it gradually as it heats, but do not boil. Serve over a handful of miniature marshmallows and garnish with a dash of nutmeg.
VARIATIONS: Substitute dark (semisweet) chocolate or white chocolate (very elegant). Also try liqueurs, Kahlua (to go with milk chocolate), Cointreau (with dark chocolate), or peppermint schnapps (with white chocolate).
