1 | tb | Olive oil |
3 | c | Cured, cooked ham |
2 | oz | Snow peas |
2/3 | c | Fresh pineapple, peeled, cored and cubed |
1 | | Ruby grapefruit, peeled and cut into segments |
2 | c | Bean sprouts |
1 | | Red bell pepper, seeded and sliced |
2 | tb | Soy sauce |
1 | tb | Clear honey |
1 | | Piece star anise |
1 | ts | Chinese Five-Spice powder |
Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet until almost smoking. Add the ham,
and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Add the snow peas, pineapple, grapefruit, bean
sprouts and bell pepper, then cook for an additional 5 minutes. Stir in the
soy sauce, honey, star anise and Five-Spice powder. Stir-fry for an
additional 5 minutes. Remove the star anise and serve with freshly cooked
noodles.
