Title: Stir Fried Beef and Gravy

1/2 | lb | Sirloin steak, cut in bite |

1 | c | Onion, thinly sliced |
1 | cl | Crushed garlic |
1 1/2 | ts | Soy sauce |
2 | tb | Sherry |
1/4 | c | Soup stock |
Pepper to taste | ||
2 | Scallions, cut in bite size | |

1 | tb | Peanut oil |
1/4 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | ts | Sugar |
1/4 | ts | Sesame seed oil |
1/2 | ts | Ginger powder |

Mix 1 ts. soy sauce, sugar, pepper, sherry, ginger and sesame oil together with 1 T. water until thoroughly mixed. Set mixture aside. Now mix the cornstarch with the other 1/2 ts. of soy sauce and 4 T. of water until thoroughly mixed. Set mixture aside. Now put your wok on medium to high heat, pour in peanut oil and heat until sizzling. Add in 1/4 ts. salt and the garlic. Stir and add onion. Stir fry for 1 minutes. Now add the soup stock and allow to cook uncovered for about 1 minutes or until boiling. Next, take the cornstarch and soy sauce mix, stir it thoroughly and pour into pan, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. This hearty meal is delicious and can be served with potatoes or boiled rice. Serves 2
