Title: Smoky Pasta

1tbOlive oil
1 Onion, chopped
2 Garlic cloves, crushed
1tbFlour
2/3cHeavy cream
1/3cDry white wine
3/4cDiced smoked meat
3 Figs, washed and chopped
2tbChopped fresh basil
2cPenne

Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion and garlic, and fry for 5 minutes. Stir in the flour, and cook for 1 minute longer. Add teh cream and wine, then bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add the smoked meat and basil, then cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir in the figs, and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta in boiling salted water for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain well, and spoon into warmed serving dishes. Spoon the pasta sauce on top and serve immediately.
