Title: Skin Softening Bath
Categories: Magazine Herb Remedies
Yield: 1 Bath

3tbDried chamomile
3tbDried calendula
2tbDried comfrey
1tbDried sandalwood chips

A bath does wonders to keep the skin on your entire body looking youthful, and certain herbs are key ingredients to help you combat the signs of aging or whole herbs such as calendula, chamomile and comfrey. Add a few tablespoons of soothing aloe or cucumber juice to your bath if your skin is very irritated. For extra skin softening, add one-half cup of uncooked oatmeal to your infusion; for extra moisturizing, add a few tablespoons of almond oil to the tub after you've been soaking for a minute or two (this will help seal in the moisture your skin has absorbed).

For a wonderful herbal bath, make an infusion from the following. The chamomile and sandalwood are classic herbal remedies for dry skin; the calendula and comfrey help the skin heal and repair itself.

NOTE: Don't use comfrey in your bath if you have open cuts or abrasions on your body. Comfrey is safe for external use only.
