When you're experiencing monthly discomfort -- irritability, bloating, cramps -- you want something that will relax your body, calm your nerves, and reduce the feelings of gloom and anxiety often brought on by these natural hormonal shifts. Some whole herbs that can be used in a bath to combat these menstrual symptoms include chamomile, cypress, fennel, geranium, hops, juniper and lavender.

For a PMS or menstrual remedy, make an infusion of these herbs. This recipe is especially beautiful, thanks to its use of colorful flowers.
