Title: Huckleberry Cobbler

2 | lg | T. lard |
2 | c | Flour, sifted |
1/4 | ts | Baking powder, sifted |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/3 | c | Water |
2 | tb | Flour |
2/3 | c | Sugar |
Huckleberries | ||
Butter |
Cream lard, 2 c. flour, baking ppowder, salt; add the 1/3 c. of water to make a soft dough. Roll and cover the bottom of a bread pan with part of the dough and sift the 2 T. of flour and 2/3 c. of sugar together over the bottom crust. Place wahed berries over this until pan iis as full as you want it; add a bit of butter and cover with a perforated crust. The pperforations should be large enough to let the juice rise upp. Cook until brown. Serve with shipped cream.
