Title: Green Onion Pie

Yield: 1 9-inch pie
3 | Bunches green onions, sliced | |
1/4 | c | Plus 2 tablespoons butter |
Or margarine | ||
1 | Unbaked 9-inch pastry shell | |
4 | Eggs, beaten | |
1 | c | Whipping cream |
3/4 | ts | Salt |
1/8 | ts | Pepper |
Saute onion in butter until tender. Spoon into pastry shell.
Combine eggs, cream, salt and pepper; stir well. Pour over onions. Bake at 425F. for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
