Title: Green Onion Pie
Categories: Pastry Pie Southern Vegetable Side dish
Yield: 1 9-inch pie

3 Bunches green onions, sliced
1/4cPlus 2 tablespoons butter
  Or margarine
1 Unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
4 Eggs, beaten
1cWhipping cream
3/4tsSalt
1/8tsPepper

Saute onion in butter until tender. Spoon into pastry shell.

Combine eggs, cream, salt and pepper; stir well. Pour over onions. Bake at 425F. for 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
