3/4 | c | Cooked squash |
1 | pt | Milk |
1 | pt | Water |
2 | tb | Butter |
3 | tb | Flour |

Strain the squash and add the milk and water and water together with it in a pot. Bring the mixture to the boiling point, and add that to the soup. Cook until the liquid becomes thickened, stirring constantly. Add your salt and pepper to taste, along with a few drops of onion juice.
This recipe dates from 1923.
