Title: Onion Mushroom Sauce - Sl 9/85

Yield: 3 Cups
1/2 | cl | Garlic |
1/4 | c | Butter or margarine; melted |
3/4 | oz | Package brown gravy mix |
1/2 | c | ;water |
1/2 | c | Burgundy or other dry red wine |
1 | pn | Pepper |
1/2 | lb | Mushrooms; sliced |
1 | c | Green onions; thinly sliced |
Saute garlic in butter in a large skillet. Add gravy mix, water, wine, and pepper; bring to a boil. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened. Add mushrooms and green onions; cook until thoroughly heated. Serve hot with beef patties or steak. Yield: 3 cups.
