Title: Herb Seasoning Salt Substitute

1/2 | ts | Cayenne pepper |
1 | tb | Garlic powder |
1 | ts | Dried basil |
1 | ts | Dried marjoram |
1 | ts | Dried thyme |
1 | ts | Dried parsley |
1 | ts | Dried savory |
1 | ts | Mace |
1 | ts | Onion powder |
1 | ts | Freshly ground black pepper |
1 | ts | Powdered sage |
Place all ingredients in a medium bowl. Toss gently with spoon until well blended. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place for up to 6 months. Makes 1/3 cup.
This mix is perfect for keeping on hand at the table as an all-purpose replacement for the salt shaker. It's good on casseroles, stews, fresh vegetables and meats.
