Title: Whipped Potatoes and Turnips

Yield: 4 Servings
1 | lb | Peeled, thin sliced turnips |
1 | lb | Peeled, thin sliced potatoes |
1/2 | ts | Sugar |
Pinch nutmeg | ||
1/2 | Stick butter or margarine | |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Pepper |
2 | tb | Light cream or milk |
1 | tb | Minced fresh parsley |
Cover turnips and potatoes with water, add sugar, and boil for 15-20 minutes or until tender. Drain thoroughly, pressing excess moisture out with wooden spoon. Add all remaining ingredients except parsley and mash and whip with a large fork or a small electric beater. Turn into heated serving bowl and sprinkle with parsley. Serves 4-6.
Serve with: all forms of game.
