Title: Oatburgers - Joann Rachor

1/4 | c | Sunflower seeds |
1/4 | c | YEAST FLAKES |
1 | Onion, quartered | |
2 | ts | Salt |
1 | tb | Basil |
1 1/2 | ts | Dill seed |
1 | ts | Oregano |
1 | cl | Garlic |
1 | c | Water |
1/4 | c | Sesame seeds, toasted |
4 1/2 | c | Quick or rolled oats |
3 | c | Additional boiling water |
Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium low heat, stirring, 5 minutes. Bring the 3 cups additional water to a boil. While doing this, BLEND smooth all except the oats and sesame seeds, with the 1 cup water. Mix all ingredients together into the boiling water continuing to
stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let sit 15 minutes. Form into 1/2" thick patties. Bake on oiled cookie sheet 30 minutes; turn and bake an additional 20 minutes. Makes 15-20.
Variation: Burgers may be shaped into meatballs. Bake for 35 minutes.
